Medical Evaluation and Admissions Process – The center begins administering the medical orders of each child’s physician on the first day of admission. A comprehensive assessment is completed for each child within 14 days of attendance. The assessment includes evaluation of cognitive patterns, communication/hearing patterns and vision, physical functioning, medical conditions/diagnosis, and nutritional needs. Based on this assessment and the recommendations of an interdisciplinary team, an Individual Care Plan is developed for each child. All Individual Care Plans are reevaluated at least every 60 days, or as needed.
